How to join Skills for Care in Celebrating Social Care this April

Skills for Care is calling upon everyone across social care to get involved in #CelebratingSocialCare in April.

We’re taking time throughout April to reflect on the hard work and achievements of everyone working in social care during the past two years, and we’d love you to join us.

While we work hard to recognise and support the achievements of the social care sector year-round, this dedicated month is a time to encourage everyone to really take time to highlight the importance of social care and the skills, passion, and vital work of all social care workers.

Our campaign us launching on 4 April. To get involved in #CelebratingSocialCare you can share your success stories, achievements, good news, and well done messages for colleagues on social media using #CelebratingSocialCare.

This dedicated month of celebration follows the Social Care Day of Remembrance and Reflection which was held on 17 March, and the lifting of public COVID-19 restrictions. The purpose of this campaign is to recognise the commitment of people working in social care and celebrate their achievements during these challenging times.

Of course, social care workers and people drawing on support are still feeling the impact of the pandemic.

While creating a time and space for people working in social care to reflect on their achievements, Skills for Care will also be providing information on ongoing support to help social care teams as they adapt to the way in which COVID-19 will be managed.

We’ll also sharing good news stories from the sector on our website.

Make sure to get involved and celebrate our sector and everyone in it who has worked so hard during COVID-19 and beyond.
