MacIntyre is an organization that supports over 1,400 children, young people, and adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, helping them live fulfilling lives. They focus on creating inclusive communities where individuals can use their talents and connect with their neighborhoods. MacIntyre has been providing support since 1966 and is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2026 by encouraging acts of kindness throughout the year. The organization offers various services, including residential support for adults, special education at MacIntyre School for children aged 10 to 19, and community-based education programs for young people aged 16-25 through MacIntyre No Limits™. Their approach includes person-centered care, positive behavior support, and engaging families in the process. MacIntyre also involves the community in events and programs, like the autism family group and community walks, promoting social interaction and support among families and participants. They continuously seek ways to support the lives of those they serve and invite people to donate or volunteer to help make a difference.
